Warren Dostie

Hi, I'm Warren Dostie—a longtime guitarist and songwriter based on the East Coast. My musical journey started way back in the ‘70s, and I’ve had a front-row seat to all the evolving trends of sound and style ever since.  If there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that every genre brings something special to the table—and I like to dig into the whole basket!

I'm particularly fond of Rock and Blues because I love the nasty snarl of a good guitar solo. I cut my teeth on those old rock classics, (love that phrase!) and in recent years I’ve developed a taste for the gentle pull of country-style fingerpicking.  Adapting my own fingerstyle touch to the songs that are usually strummed is my specialty.

Beyond my own playing, I’m also passionate about helping others to discover the joy of guitar.  Im always trying ways to make it easier for the first timer. You’ll find a dedicated page here for beginners, and another packed with quick tips and licks that anyone can add to their repertoire.  This will be updated regularly.  In my view, a wise performer is always a perpetual student of the art, even the great ones……
